Licensed Practical Nurse
Your Opportunity:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of an interprofessional health care team, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the needs of patients according to the standards defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Standards of Practice. The LPN will also provide a broad range of services including but not limited to is a technical position involving non-invasive cardiac testing procedures to investigate cardiac abnormalities and level of function. Responsible for the performance of cardiac tests, including Holter monitoring and graded exercise stress testing, computer functions including test order entry, result inquiry and report printing.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and PCA policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of PCA.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience in Primary Care setting. Knowledge of Nursing Competency Profile and Standards of Practice. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Competency in computer, clinical electronic device use, and electronic medical record (Connect Care). Knowledge of cardiac testing and Holter monitor.
