Registered Dental Assistant - 10 Month
Your Opportunity:
All scheduled hours of this position fall within the ten (10) month period of the school year in accordance with Letter of Understanding #27 of the Collective Agreement between AHS and HSAA.
Description:
As a Dental Assistant, you will receive and prepare patients for treatment. You will prepare instruments and materials required, perform intra-oral procedures and chair-side assistance during dental procedures. You will maintain cleanliness of the dental area and perform routine maintenance. You will also provide oral health treatment and education to patients. You may perform billing and pre-authorization of insurance claims and participate in the development of educational resource materials. You will maintain dental charts, records and databases.

Completion of a certificate from an accredited Dental Assisting Program. Active or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Connect Care.
