Your Opportunity:
In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Primary Care Alberta currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Please note: The Shift Pattern, the number of hours worked per shift and the number of shifts per cycle may be adjusted as needed to accommodate operational requirements and meet both staff and patient needs.
Description:
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree. Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:As Required.
Preferred Qualifications:Specialized knowledge of the unique health needs of those living in Metis Settlements and understanding of culturally appropriate care. Knowledge areas include, but are not limited to, chronic disease management, mental health and addiction, maternal and child health, elder care, etc. Fluent in Cree language considered an asset.
