Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART). You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver clinical care and advocacy for patients who have experienced a sexual assault in a virtual capacity with potential for hybrid on-site work. Key responsibilities: As the sole prescriber, you will provide consultation services including providing orders to support patient care provided by Registered Nurses working in the SART program. Post post-sexual assault care and treatment includes: STBBI testing, including treatment, provision of HIV PEP and follow up. Monitoring and interpretation of laboratory results. Contraception and emergency contraception. Complete comprehensive medical assessments in collaboration with the SART RN. Communicate effectively in complex and sensitive situations. Provide care to marginalized populations using culturally safe and equity‑oriented approaches. Coordinate follow‑up care and referrals to appropriate medical and community resources.

Description:

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree. Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Work as the sole prescriber within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team. Proven decision-making ability and critical thinking. Ability to provide care to adolescent and adult populations. Practices trauma-informed, patient centered care approach. Proven clinical leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in sexual reproductive health, women’s health, and sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBI) testing and treatment.
