Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:The successful candidate will have a minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical practice setting with a minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in providing patient teaching and providing health information to a diverse population. Demonstrated competency with computer applications to complete computer searches and clinical documentation on web-based computer programs in a supported environment. The successful candidate must have a minimum typing speed 35 WPM and intermediate computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience providing patient teaching and health information over the phone or other platforms.
