Health Link is a province-wide program that provides clinical services, navigation services, and online content support. Health Link is a 24 hours per day, 7 days a week service that is available to all Albertans by calling 811 or by using one of its online platforms. Users of Health Link include all Albertans as well as health care providers. The Health Link family includes 400 skilled registered nurses, information & referral specialists, tobacco counselors, and central access specialists. This position is Non-Union/Exempt. All Non-Union/Exempt positions are being reviewed for possible inclusions in the AUPE General Support Services bargaining unit. If this position is impacted, the incumbent will be notified accordingly.

Description:

Reporting to the Director of Integrated Healthcare Technology and Support Services, the Business Analyst is responsible for identifying requirements, developing solutions and solving problems affecting a provincial Contact Center Platform Upgrade within Health Link’s portfolio. The successful candidate will apply a project-based approach to problem-solving and decision–making for improved project delivery. In addition, the Business Analyst will provide input for requirements tracking, change management, and end-user education material development and provide support to transition to operation. Working with the Project Manager, technical consultants and internal business units, this position will be expected to create business requirements and business cases; develop, write and maintain systems documentation and user manuals; and ensure appropriate retention, storage and disposal of information, according to Privacy & Security policies and procedures. This position supports the project team in resolving complex and challenging problems concerning contractual obligations with project progress, project communication, project lifecycle activities and deliverables, including but not limited to budgets, approvals, terms of contracts and agreements. This position also engages in the analysis of Health Link business processes and develops/updates necessary process documentation.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in contact center operations, and infrastructure and systems maintenance. Graduate of a recognized degree program in information technology, information sciences, or related discipline. An equivalent combination of directly related experience and education may be considered. Advanced proficiency in MS Office 2016/365 and Windows 10, with the ability to troubleshoot common concerns with working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and MS Visio. 3-5 years of progressive business analyst/information analyst experience in a complex technical or health care organization. Current/In progress IIBA Certification or PMI – PBA.
