Working closely with faculty, leaders, staff, and external partners, you will help advance initiatives that foster professional growth, academic career progression, and faculty engagement. The Academic Family Medicine Administrator provides advanced administrative support for faculty recognition and promotion activities, departmental committees, academic programs, projects, and events. Key responsibilities include coordinating faculty award and promotion processes; organizing meetings, schedules, agendas, and minutes; maintaining records and documentation; supporting events and workshops; preparing communications and reports; managing shared electronic resources; and contributing to departmental initiatives aligned with strategic priorities. This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively in a dynamic academic environment. The successful candidate will build strong collaborative relationships, support operational effectiveness, and contribute to meaningful work that recognizes and advances faculty success. Key Competencies: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, build collaborative relationships, solve problems effectively, and maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated attention to detail, sound judgment, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience. Experience providing administrative support in a post-secondary, academic, healthcare, or professional environment. Demonstrated experience coordinating meetings, committees, events, or projects. Experience preparing professional correspondence, reports, agendas, and meeting minutes. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Proven ability to establish priorities, manage competing deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:Undergraduate degree. Diploma or certificate in office administration, business administration, project management, or a related field. Experience supporting faculty affairs, academic promotions, awards programs, or professional development initiatives. Experience working within the University of Calgary, Alberta Health Services, Primary Care Alberta, or another academic health environment. Experience developing administrative procedures, workflows, or process documentation.
