Your Opportunity:

Join a fast-paced, multidisciplinary family medicine clinic where your ability to multitask and prioritize will directly influence patient outcomes every day. As an Admin IV/Medical Office Assistant, you are the hub of clinic daily flow—combining front‑desk excellence with hands‑on clinical support. In this role, you will: Provide compassionate, patient-facing support from check‑in to check‑out, ensuring a seamless experience in a busy clinic setting. Assist physicians with minor and complex office procedures and maintain exam room readiness to support efficient, high‑quality care. Take and document vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight) accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Coordinate referrals and connect patients to appropriate programs and services across the city; track and close the loop on follow‑ups. Own and manage a dynamic task list that supports ongoing patient care and ensures timely completion of clinical and administrative actions. Answering phones and booking appointments. Work closely with physicians, nurses, learners, and administrative colleagues as part of a cohesive team that values communication, reliability, and initiative.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Completion of a recognized MOA (Medical Office Assistant) training/education program; OR Unit Clerk certificate with documented hands‑on patient care experience in a family practice/primary care setting. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a fast‑paced family practice environment. Must be able to work at least 1-2x/week or more and available for call-in shifts. Vacation coverage is important. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems. Competence in obtaining and accurately documenting vital signs (blood pressure, height, weight). Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Excellent communication, professionalism, and a patient‑centered approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those with family practice experience. Advanced EMR skills; experience with Med Access, Connect Care or similar systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and family practice workflows. Experience assisting with office procedures and maintaining exam room standards. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
